About the Job We are seeking energetic Casual Pet Transport Driver with a NSW Drivers Licence for our Heathcote Pet Hotel located in Waterfall, NSW. Shifts are rostered between the hours of 4am and 9pm including school holidays, public holidays and Christmas/Easter periods. With an average of 2 shifts per week , there is also an expectation that you can flex up to 38 hours/week during peak periods. Additional hours are also on offer to assist the Petcare team in general welfare duties and the transport team with odd jobs. The key accountabilities of the role will include driving pet transport vans, animal welfare, cleaning and customer service. You will be responsible for the quality of pet welfare and providing care for our transport pets ensuring they arrive safely at their destination. Our Pet Transport Drivers also provide excellent customer service when engaging with our clients at pick up and drop off. About You You are reliable, motivated, and an excellent driver, with genuine affection for cats and dogs. To be a high performer in this role, you will be: The holder of an unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence, with a clean driving history (essential - do not apply if you do not have this). Experienced working in vet clinics, doggy daycares, boarding kennels, catteries or as a pet transport driver (preferred). Certified in Animal Studies and/or companion animal services (preferred). Available to work rotating rostered shifts, and willing/available to work extra shifts during school holidays/peak periods. Flexible and able to cover planned leave, as well as unplanned absences, sometimes at short notice. Prepared to jump at the chance to help others in your team. Able to work at a brisk pace and carry out tasks to required timeframes to satisfy productivity expectations. Able to work independently, and willing to ask for guidance for more complex matters. Passionate about companion animals. A good communicator and positive person who enjoys teamwork. Customer focused, always providing an excellent customer experience. An experienced driver with regular access to a car to get to/from work as public transport is limited. Committed to working safely, and following Standard Operating Procedures. Willing and able to adhere to Hanrob Pet Hotels' operating procedures and work health and safety requirements at all times. IMPORTANT: This is an active and physical role working across the Pet Hotel. In addition to basic administrative work, the incumbent will primarily be required to work indoors and outdoors (sometimes in inclement weather conditions, and hands on with cats and dogs, on their feet for a significant portion of their day. They must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, crouch, kneel, squat, reach, stretch, and restrain animals up to 50kg on leads, communicate, speak, and interact with customers, internal and external stakeholders, and members of the public in person, over the phone, and online, and occasionally take difficult conversations, including providing feedback and receiving complaints, in order to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
