About the role: We are currently looking for experienced, committed, and compassionate support workers to provide one-to-one support services to AOD/mental health/community services/complex behaviour/forensic clients in our newly established respite facility in Oak Park, Victoria. Our purpose is to help participants recover, rejuvenate and recalibrate in every way through a transdisciplinary approach. What are we looking for? Minimum Certificate IV in AOD/Mental Health or an equivalent qualification 1 years' prior experience in provision of one-to-one support for people in the AOD, mental health, community services or forensic sectors, working with complex clients. Experience with supporting individuals who have experienced complex problems such as substance use, mental illness, intellectual disability, and homelessness. Experience working within a non-government AOD and/or MH environment. Demonstrated experience undertaking brief and comprehensive forensic alcohol and drug assessment. Demonstrable communication skills including report writing, case note writing. Ability to demonstrate resilience and work in challenging and high-pressured environments. A working knowledge of the relevant and current legislation relating to the client group including the Mental Health Act and Privacy Act. Solid knowledge of recovery and harm minimisation approaches to the treatment and management of persons with substance abuse problems Why work for Crescent Respite?
