Side Loader Waste Driver — Fairfield, Fairfield Area

Fairfield City Council’s Waste and Cleansing Operations is currently hiring 5 full-time Side Load Drivers. The successful candidates will be tasked with operating waste trucks for Fairfield City Council and collecting garbage, recycling, and our new Food Organics & Garden Organic waste from residential areas within the city. The role requires working five days a week, Monday through Friday ESSENTIAL: Current HR Class driver’s license (valid throughout employment) Previous experience in a similar role or environment Safe application of driving skills with a clean driving record Submission of driving history via SERVICES NSW transcript records before appointment Ability to read and follow route optimization maps and written instructions DESIRABLE: Experience in Waste Collection Operations Knowledge of compaction systems and operations Familiarity with waste management systems Experience with one-arm garbage trucks SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Permanent position with 38 hours per week Salary: $1603.13 per week plus 11% Super Required to work on Public Holidays and overtime will be paid Uniform provided Fairfield City Council offers a great working environment, we offer a range of benefits including: Wellbeing initiatives including Flu vaccination, discounted gym memberships and onsite gym.
