For more information about State Trustees visit www.statetrustees.com.au About the Team A core service of State Trustees is protecting the financial and legal interests of thousands of Victorians who are unable to manage their own affairs because of mental illness, injury or disability. This Specialised Support team manages the financial and legal affairs of our most vulnerable clients whose circumstances are complex and unique and which could further be complicated with multiple critical factors, such as the loss of formal or informal support, mental health concerns and/or disabilities, substance abuse, financial abuse, being at risk from others or demonstrates violent behaviour, at risk accommodation or difficult relations (family breakdowns or conflict) etc. These clients are appointed to us through the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal. About the Role Internally known as a Personal Financial Consultant - Specialised Support, you will support clients with complex needs in the administration of their financial and legal affairs in line with the Guardian and Administration Act 1986 and 2019. You will have a direct impact on providing quality service and support to the clients allocated to this team whilst working closely with Specialised Support Consultants to assist them with financial administration support. Skills & Experience Relevant administration experience Ability to prepare commercial standard correspondence, reports and recommendations Well-developed professional communication skills (written and spoken) Understanding and experience dealing with clients with a disability Competent financial literacy Basic computer literacy including competent use of Microsoft Office Business administration experience preferably within the financial, legal or disability sectors will help you secure this role.
