The Administrative Officer, within the School of Medicine, is responsible for providing coordination, advice, support, and services to a range of university stakeholders to enable the delivery of university outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Administrative Coordinator, the Administrative Officer will work closely with the School of Medicine key stakeholders including Student Administration, Disability Resource Centre, Deakin Security, the Infrastructure and Property Group and the Faculty Business Services, Health Curriculum and Timetabling teams. As an Officer, you will: Coordinate, support and provide advice in relation to business, research, administrative and operational issues to ensure the organisation and control of functions and resources. Provide advice on the administration and use of university services and functions. Provide secretariat support and coordination for committees, governance body or regulatory function Provide a range of processing and administrative tasks in line with university procedure such as high level administrative support to ensure data and relevant student outlook calendar timetables are up to date, including liaison with Course Directors, Unit Chairs, academic teams, IPG Timetabling and room bookings. Support university governance, including work instructions, procedures and guidelines to enable and support the delivery of operations. To be successful, you'll have: An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures. Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone, and written issue Experience providing services and support in a large organisation Knowledge of University/Faculty administration structures and processes in a tertiary environment.
