About the Role Provide one on one, community access and lifestyle support to people with disability living in Thornlie . Shifts are available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of up to 5 hours between 9am to 4:45pm. Successful candidates will have previous experience supporting people with disability and complex behaviours and will be required to travel to different locations in Thornlie and surrounding suburbs to provide support to individual people. Key Responsibilities Assistance with daily living Community access and transport (with the use of your own vehicle) Domestic assistance (support with household chores) Maintain and monitor person-centred plans Documenting and progress note keeping Skills & Experience Experience supporting people with disability and with mental health issues Strong verbal communication skills Australian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicle Current First Aid and CPR Willing to assist with basic household chores Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care At Life Without Barriers we consider gender a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 27 (2), (c), (e) and (g) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, and so we ask that only Male applicants apply.
