Administration Officer - Part-Time — Balcatta, Stirling Area

The Role ALS is seeking a Part-Time Administration Officer for our metallurgical services business in Perth WA. The successful applicant will become part of its busy metallurgy testing laboratories that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time, and by maintaining strong relationships with its clients. This is a permanent part-time position working 25 hours per week Monday to Friday. The role is based in Balcatta however there will be some ad hoc travel requirements between the Balcatta and Wangara facilities. The day to day Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor duties will include both Administration and HR tasks, which includes: Assist with marketing and business development preparation for conferences/events, ordering and maintaining stock of marketing material and merchandise. Ordering ALS branded material- business cards/ stationery etc. Quarantine facility administration - provide assistance on all quarantine related renewals and inspections, e.g., pest control, calibrations, and renewal applications. Organise annual uniform distributions for staff and assist in authorising purchase of PPE. Event management- coordinate staff functions/meetings including researching suppliers/ booking/ catering/ coordinating suppliers. Assist with general administrative duties including answering calls and greeting visitors. Assist with end-to-end recruitment process (job ads, screening of applicants, arrange interviews, reference checking, onboarding/inductions, and maintenance of all employment documentation). Preparation and distribution of employment documentation (forms, contracts, and letters). Management of employee learning profiles in our electronic and learning software systems Assist in letter/contract preparation as required. The essentials Applicants with previous experience in similar Administrative\HR roles will be highly regarded. Suitable candidates for this role must have: Strong computer literacy skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Databases) Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Organisational skills to manage competing and changing priorities.
