Our Company Chemtrans, a division of K&S Freighters, is a well-respected and industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia. We currently have driving positions available on Day & Afternoon shift for safety conscious, professional drivers to complete local and country deliveries in our well maintained mostly automatic vehicles. We provide comprehensive and competency-based training program spanning 4 plus weeks where you will be trained to safely perform a range of tasks including not limited to, load and unload various liquid products DG and non-DG products, delivering to customer sites. Use of different equipment, forklifts, side loader trailers, flat top trailers, drop decks / Iso containers, rail and wharf work for import and export, HC and MC. We are seeking those who share our values and commitment to "Ensuring safety is at the forefront of everything we do" What you will have Strong communication skills both verbal and written, strong attention to detail for the completion of critical delivery documentation. A positive can-do attitude, commitment towards workplace Health, Safety and NHVR compliance. HC minimum license, with proven extensive driving experience of at least 12 months. Range of work will vary with ISO movements to Rail, Wharf and Customer sites. Specialist dangerous goods and Explosives deliveries Country and interstate sites Australia wide The applicants must be open to all types of work. A safe driver history report. Clear Police check. Fitness for duty, completing a pre-employment medical. Current Australian Dangerous Goods, desirable (not essential). Willing to assist successful candidates obtain one. Ability to learn and be trained in loading and unloading products. Some manual handling and pallet jack work required.
