Public sector | Permanent part time role (0.8 FTE) | Chris21 experience essential About the Company Our client is a leading council, responsible for delivering a wide range of community services as well as maintaining essential community infrastructure. They are looking for a Payroll System Specialist with Chris21 knowledge to support their supportive and high performing payroll team. The Role Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for: Providing specialist payroll advice and support on HRIS systems, reporting and business improvement initiatives to ensure efficiencies and best practice. Reviewing current practices and making recommendations on improvement initiatives. This also includes scoping options, project management of new systems and driving the change management process. Ensuring compliance with legislative changes and keeping up with best practice and the needs of the organisation. Ensuring all salary related documentation and payments are processed accurately and on time. Providing and assisting the Payroll Coordinator in the review, development and delivery of an effective payroll process and systems consistent with legislative requirements and best practice. Ensuring the full delivery of the payroll service during periods when payroll staff are on leave Preparing internal payroll reports and data as required and preparing external information for ABS payroll related surveys Providing assistance and training to support the HR Services team to produce reports Providing consistent, well-informed and accurate advice on payroll and system related matters.
