About the Role We're seeking a Consumer Research Assistant to contribute to a project investigating consumer involvement in mental health curricula across MDHS. Ideal candidates will have personal experience with mental ill-health and will support quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you'll help develop educational resources, maintain meticulous records, and assist in disseminating results through various formats under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. Your responsibilities will include: Contributing to project team meetings with a lived experience lens Drawing upon lived experience to contribute to data analysis and interpretation Formatting and entering data into benchmarking reports for study participants Supporting the dissemination of study findings by contributing to resources for educators, peer reviewed publications, and conference presentations Who We Are Looking For You will be an ideal candidate if you have lived experience of mental ill-health, research experience and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. Your strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with well-developed organisational and time management abilities, will enable effective research collaboration and engagement. Additionally, your self-directed nature will contribute to your success in the role. You will also have: A postgraduate degree or undergraduate degree (Honours) in behavioural or social sciences, or a related discipline (or equivalent) Experience conducting qualitative research, including the analysis of qualitative data Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective research collaboration and engagement Well-developed organisational and time management skills For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD. This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
