Ovolo Woolloomooloo features 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and events spaces, a swimming pool, and Alibi Bar & Kitchen. The Gig At Ovolo Hotels, we're not your ordinary employer - we're the sound of popping champagne corks and confetti cannons going off As part of the Sales Management Team you'll be planning and executing events and weddings for the hotel, ensuring optimum efficiency, accuracy and providing excellent customer service in everything you do. Some of your responsibilities will include: Supervision of the overall processes of all event bookings from handover to from Sales to Event Operations liaising with the client throughout the process Personally own, act and solve problems and complaints. Be always a Brand Ambassador. Conduct event orders, floor plans, and to liaise with appropriate stakeholders in the event-planning process. Monitor, evaluate and modify the quality and consistency of service and product delivery to continuously meet and improve service standards, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic and operating plans of the events and business. Assist with co-ordination of activities including, site inspections, famils, Ovolo hosted events and client liaison. Represent Ovolo at all relevant trade shows and networking events. Assist when required with C&E quoting & contracting, Corporate/Group contracting. Assist with the development of new ideas to showcase our offering. About you Minimum 2 years in event/wedding sales/coordination and enjoys the challenges of a fast paced sales environment. Advanced knowledge of Food and Beverage operations. You live and breathe run sheets, creative ideas and problem solving, and loves to exceed client expectations A closer who loves to seal the deal and see your events conversion rate grow and grow and grow. Happy to roll your sleeves up and get dirty? Do you do whatever it takes? That is the attitude we are calling for Good at Chess? You have multiple event spaces to play with endless possibilities. No such thing as pressure? Cool as a cucumber. A stickler for attention to detail, the little things count An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook whiz.
