About the Role: We are seeking a Database Administrator to support this businesses Corporate Brand. In this role, you will ensure the consistent performance of critical SQL Server systems, enabling the delivery of benefits to the customers. Your responsibilities will include implementing, configuring, maintaining, and ensuring the operational readiness of SQL Server systems to support bespoke applications and scheduled tasks. Functional Responsibilities: Manage SQL Server databases across multiple lifecycle environments. Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high levels of availability and security. Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real-time. Develop and automate processes, track issues, and document changes. Provide support for critical production systems and scheduled tasks. Mentor team members and share technical expertise. Lead resolution of data/database issues between multiple vendors. Functional Capabilities: Proficient in MS SQL Server Administration. Possesses business acumen to align systems with strategic business objectives. Effectively prioritises, plans, and organises tasks amidst multiple demands. Collaborates well within a team, offering problem-solving skills and taking initiative. Capable of independent work while also fostering collaboration. Adaptable to change and resilient in the face of challenges. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (or working towards this qualification). Significant experience in MS SQL Server Administration. Proficiency in Export/Import data to and from SQL Server across multiple destinations/formats. Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and PowerBI, as well as writing Transact-SQL Stored Procedures. Familiarity with Performance Tuning and Optimisation (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
