Medical Receptionist - Cairns - Casual Required for busy General Practice with good availability/flexibility, for shifts over a 7 day roster Attention to detail Previous customer service skills required Flexible, re availability during Clinic opening hours - 7 days Exceptional Customer Service Skills Good availability for shifts over rotational roster Can do attitude, with willingness to learn on the job Approx. 4 to 5 shifts / 25 - 35 hrs per week availability Flexibility essential Good customer service skills Casual Medical Receptionist vacancy for busy General Practice (Cairns 24 Hr M/Centre) Previous Healthcare industry experience preferable, hospitality Reception/Administration skills suit also Casual rotational roster - during clinic hours Monday to Sunday. Approx. 4 to 5 shifts / 25 - 35 hrs per week. Flexibility is required with shifts covering mornings and evenings and rotational weekends. To cover Clinic opening hours - currently 7am to 9pm weekdays, 8am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. Duties include, but are not limited to: Answering incoming calls, busy switchboard and professional emails Appointment bookings and managing multiple diaries on a software system Meeting and friendly greeting of patients General cleaning and upkeep of practice areas, following strict infection control requirements, stock take and restocking of supplies Willingness to learn, be directed and follow procedures COVID 19 screening of entering patients, in compliance with current guidelines Dealing with patient enquiries, delays and rescheduling, over the phone and in person, including challenging situations Filing, scanning, copying Providing support / assistance to our healthcare professionals The successful applicant must also have: Exceptional customer service skills, with a polite manner, and empathic nature Enjoy a fast paced environment Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a positive and enthusiastic disposition Demonstrate outstanding organisational / time management skills, with the ability to multi-task A commitment to on-the-job training and ongoing learning and development Take pride in their written and verbal communication skills, paying attention to detail Willing to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a Team Intermediate computer knowledge/skills The ability to show empathy towards others and a general desire to assist patients, co-workers and professionals Current driver licence for errands (automatic work car) Australian citizenship or permanent residency essential Please send CV, cover letter and references by email ONLY SHORTLISTED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED Start date: As soon as possible
