Primary Location VIC - Melbourne Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join ServiceStream in our Telecommunications team based in our National Offices About the Role Service Stream's Telecommunications division are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing company. In this role, you will be responsible for successfully providing advice, recommendations and final design specifications for engineering solutions for telecommunication base stations which include but are not limited to detailed electrical specifications, single line diagrams, BTS designs and earthing design/specifications. Responsibilities: Electrical designer responsible for the design of AC mains power and Earthing Desktop design of AC service mains route from site survey sketches, Google Earth, photos SLD with cable schedule to meet customer current and future loads Design and produce electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, Site plans etc. Review and amend designs to ensure they meet customer specifications and Australian / local power authority standards Liaise/negotiate with Power Authorities a scope of works for new service mains, upgrades and re-arrangements Carry out detail AC & DC Power Design Design electrical & BTS solutions for all greenfield and U/G programs Power Authority new connection application/process on national basis Writing standard documentations and standard designs Managing cost in design within limited budgets and targets Understanding construction issues to ensure design is in-line to avoid construction issues Perform site visits to identify POS, cable routes and measurements Define electrical scope of works for sites Complete electrical designs including SLD, cable routes and Electrical notes Utilise knowledge to generate PVA exemptions Respond to customer enquiries in relation to the performance of delivery of site activities Be responsible for the various customer systems required during the procurement, construction and installation services Service Stream, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading national service provider to develop and operate Australia's essential communications, energy and water networks in the telecommunications, utilities and transport industries.
