About the role: As a Signal Electrician, you’ll provide electrical support to signal maintenance tasks, working on the delivery of Signals Renewals tasks. You’ll be working individually but within a team environment, providing electrical support to not only planned renewals but also reactive renewals, ensuring works are performed in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements. As a Signal Electrician you’ll not only gain rail exposure at a multi-award-winning organisation but will have skills development which may lead to opportunities such as SMT traineeships, so you can take your career to the next level. Responsibilities include: Perform maintenance and installation of work on signalling and communications equipment, under limited supervision of Officers in Charge or Signal Maintenance Technicians. Ensure the safety of all persons working near track assets is maintained. Contribute to works planning activities, ensuring works are as efficient as possible. Accurately report on works completed daily, reporting time worked, work orders, progress information, and any other issues. Indicative tasks performed in this role include: Complex and diverse maintenance of signalling equipment and systems. Construction and installation of signalling equipment and systems. Enter data to fault and maintenance management systems. Manual work associated with the installation and maintenance of signalling equipment. About you: Qualified A Grade Electrician – mandatory. Hold a driver’s license. Hardworking individual who strives for efficient and quality performance. Experience in rail – desirable. Certified First Aid Level 2 - desirable.
