About the Team Our Product team is the beating heart of MYOB. From discovery through to delivery plus Data and Insights, it's made up of a broad and multi-disciplined group of specialists focused on designing products that help our customers optimise their business potential and creating best-in-class customer and user experiences. What's great about being a designer here The design team is made up of around 40 passionate designers across three cities. We love learning and sharing - we have weekly critiques and regular jam sessions. We're supported by specialist visual designers, design researchers, and service designers. We don't throw our designs over the wall. We know that everyone here helps make the user experience, but you are empowered to make the call. We have a well-supported design system. Our designers have the right level of autonomy and ownership in what they design, and how they work with their teams to deliver it We love our customers, obsessed with making things that matter for the people who use our products About the role Our team is looking for a lead product designer in the financial services Domain. with a focus on helping deliver best-in-class invoicing, payments, and lending workflows within MYOB's software suite. Join forces with fellow designers, engineers and product managers to develop user-friendly, and engaging solutions. This role is ideal for those who excel in leadership while actively engaging in end-to-end design execution. What we look for in designers Our designers cover a lot of ground. They: Want to understand our customers and are happy to use different research techniques to do it. Get their team involved to make sense of the findings. Seek critique and feedback to help improve themselves and their designs. Collaborate and communicate well with other team members in product management and engineering. Test ideas, concepts, and designs early and often. Consider our customer's full journey from start to finish. The skills you'll need With over 7 years in product design and at least 2 years in a leadership capacity, you've mastered the art of guiding projects and teams to success. As an experienced product design generalist, you confidently lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery to delivery. While experience in financial services is advantageous, it's your design expertise that truly matters. You possess the ability to not only understand but also influence our business strategy through design. You shine when it comes to nurturing talent, providing mentorship to junior designers, and cultivating an environment ripe for collaborative innovation. At your core, you're driven by innovation and a relentless focus on the user with proven experience thriving in agile, cross-functional team environments.
