About the role An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Medical Receptionist to join the friendly team at our Murdoch branch. This position is temporary part time covering a period of parental leave for up to 12 months from April 2024. Hours are currently worked as 7.5 hours per day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, totalling 60 hours per fortnight. Flexibility is key as start and finish times will vary. Being a hospital site, operating hours are during and outside of standard business hours. This branch opens 7 days a week with service level hours subject to change as per the demands of the branch and/or hospital. There is an expectation of this role to work hours across the full week as per the branch roster including additional hours for leave coverage. As a Medical Receptionist, you will act as the first and last point of contact for our patients, providing excellent service, accurate bookings of procedures, settling patient accounts and updating patient profiles. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: A consistent Patients First focus A genuine passion for helping people and providing quality patient care Demonstrated time management and organisational skills The ability to multitask in busy situations A high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated high degree of computer literacy The ability to work independently and as part of a team A friendly personality with the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse social and cultural backgrounds Previous experience within a customer service industry will be highly regarded; however, this is not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
