Structural & Mechanical Design of full commercial turnkey facilities/bulk equipment. Support sales & fabrication staff with technical designs. Established 20 years ago, a growing manufacturing company requires a Multi-Skilled Design Draftsperson or Design Engineer to join their Team. This position would suit someone with a passion for Design and at least 2 years of 3D structural and mechanical design and drafting experience. Applicants applying will have a passion for R&D, new product development, and continuous improvement. You will be used to working autonomously and as part of a team. Key responsibilities: Provide the sales team with technical support on projects so that they can go back to their clients with the correct project information. Strong focus on continuous improvement and plant layout developments. Create 3D structural steel fabrication models, metalwork, and steel assembly designs of walkways, test rigs etc. Generate structural drafts for local infrastructure projects, medium to large machinery, complex structures, and shop drawings. Mechanical Design, producing piping and rotational designs, P&IDs, conveyors etc. Learn about material estimation and control of bills of materials. Report and present project analysis within design reviews. Attend site trips as and when required. To be a successful fit for this full-time/permanent role, you will have: A Degree or TAFE. 2 years’ experience in Structural and Mechanical Design. Team player and passionate about 3D design.
