We're looking for a skilled DB2 Database Administrator to join our federal team As a Database Administrator, you'll be involved in various tasks, including migrating ObjectStar Table data stores to DB2 on Z/OS, designing, maintaining, and optimizing DB2 databases, and upgrading DB2 to V13. Key Responsibilities: Expertly migrate ObjectStar Table data store to Db2 on Z/OS and optimize Db2 databases Upgrade Db2 to V13 and maintain system integrity Provide expert advice to technical specialists and stakeholders Schedule and manage database software installations and upgrades Administer database configuration, security, and objects Manage data management processes including loading, maintaining, and distributing data Implement corrective actions to enhance database performance and availability Design and plan backup, archival, and recovery activities Escalate unresolved system issues and manage them according to service level agreements Develop processes, security measures, and best practices to improve data asset availability and security Prepare and review corporate and technical documentation Coach, mentor, and plan succession for team members to enhance performance and retention Requirements: At least 2.5 years of Mainframe DB2 Database Administration experience Experience with IBM DB2 tools and monitoring and diagnostics using Omegamon and query monitor Experience with rolling out maintenance for DB2 across mainframe systems Familiarity with z/OS interfaces and software installation methodologies The application deadline for this role is 11/04/2024.
