Part time payroll officer — North Sydney, North Sydney Area

Perm role FT or PT Hybrid Payroll Officer role. Ideally with SCHADS and Xero experience Be Recruitment are a North Sydney-based recruitment consultancy specialising in the Social Care sector. This is a part-time role working 2 days per week, Monday and Thursday. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the focus of the part-time payroll officer will be reconciliations, payroll duties. managing expense claims, accounts payable and ad hoc project work for the Be Recruitment Group. Key duties Activating new temporary employee records where required using online timesheet platform; Checking compliance of new starters Setting up new client and approver records using online timesheet platform Assisting with generating and distributing internal and external reports from the system Data entry of expenses and allowances Checking and interpreting candidates’ timesheets in accordance with relevant applicable awards Accurately processing payroll for temporary employees on a twice-weekly basis (Tuesday & Thursday) Attending to payroll enquiries either over the telephone or via email Processing timesheet adjustments and debit/credit notes by raising discrepancies Generating standard & non-standard invoices Accounts payable/receivable reconciliations Assistance with planned and reactive reporting Provide ad hoc assistance to the team including management and payroll compliance reporting. Other Duties General administration including any duties that you may be required to undertake to support the Finance Manager.
