John Mackenzie Kindergarten (JMK) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic 4 year-old teacher to join our much loved kinder community which has over 50 years of history. Supported by our experienced Director and Co-educators, this position will play a lead role in setting and implementing a rich learning environment for the 4 and 5-year old children. Through play based learning we encourage our children to explore, investigate, imagine and invent in a child led/teacher supported program. Set within the beautiful grounds of the Toorak Uniting Church, JMK’s north facing mid-century architecturally designed building comprises two large light filled classrooms and an expansive and recently renovated outdoor play area. Our emphasis on community engagement sees our families and local community play an important role in our learning and social activities during the year.
