Graduate Building Designer with 3-4 years experience required. MUST have Advanced Diploma (NOT Architectural degree) Full time on site in Heathmont Victoria (35 hour week). Town Planning experience an advantage THE COMPANY Established in 2012 and family owned, our client provides Building Design and Architectural Drafting for Town Planning and Building Permit Applications for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. THE ROLE As a member of the design team, you are required to deliver high quality designs, advice, administration, research and support services to the business and clients. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all design and documentation is completed in accordance with the AutoCAD / Revit systems and procedures. This includes but is not limited to sheet layouts, layers, line types, blocks and/or libraries, and naming/saving files for example. Accurate and timely preparation of town planning and building permit applications with the relevant plans and documentation, where necessary under the supervision of others. Maintain detailed file notes for all client, consultant, and authority contact. Client authorisation forms are required to be completed and signed by the client before work on 2 nd or subsequent stage may commence OR for any additional work outside the project brief or scope of works. Be proactive with your work by contacting client, council and/or consultants to ensure the projects are not delayed unnecessarily. Outside work including site visits, photography, and liaison at Councils and/or relevant authorities as required from time to time. HOURS : 9-5pm over a 35 hour week Full Time permanent role - IN OFFICE 5 DAYS PER WEEK (Heathmont) THE OPPORTUNITIES New services planned: Exterior Façade makeovers and Hosting Workshops / Information sessions at client's studio in Bayswater. In house training / and workshops etc with our business coach ABOUT YOU Advanced Diploma in Building Design (not Degree) 3-4 years Building Design experience Develop and/or maintain a working knowledge of National Construction Code (NCC); Australian Standards, Building Acts, Victorian Building Regulations, ResCode, and Planning Schemes. Current drivers' licence Experience in the preparation of town planning drawings and documents for Town Planning permit application and working (construction) drawings and documents for building permit applications.
