The key duties of the position include Employment Opportunity The Capability Development team is looking to engage a suitably qualified Senior Front End Developer capable of taking technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to plan and drive software development activities, through the adoption of appropriate development methods, tools and techniques. This is a senior role within the development team and as such will be expected to contribute to policies, standards, frameworks and guidelines that support software development, refactoring and uplift to the cloud. How you can help us make a difference The successful candidate must demonstrate strong front-end development skills, citing examples of internal and external facing portals, integration with multi-factor authentication solutions and compliance with relevant security and accessibility guidelines. The department supports .Net, React, Angular and Power Pages solutions currently and experience across multiple languages will be highly regarded. The successful candidate should also comfortably demonstrate the ability to: identify, create and apply software development and security standards and processes. plan and design software components that support the achievement of business objectives estimate time and effort required for software development construct, amend and verify software components apply test-driven development and ensure appropriate test coverage engage peer review techniques - such as pair programming document software components and integrations select appropriate development methods and life cycles apply recovery techniques to ensure the software being developed is not lost implement appropriate change control to software development practices resolve operational problems with software and fixing bugs develop capabilities, processes and procedures for automation and continuous integration ensure security and privacy requirements are an essential part of systems integration and build develop and test disaster recovery plans and apply incident management processes. Please note: Salaries in the department are provided through its Enterprise Agreement. Additional remuneration may also be provided through Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFA). These IFAs can be negotiated prior to commencement.
