Job posting end date: 05/17/2024 Introduction: We are seeking a Manager, Product Engineering to join our Services Grinding, Bulk and Pyro (GBP) Product Engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the technical competency of self and staff while driving product development and optimization, globally. Your role plays a crucial part in leadership and management of Metso's Services Grinding, Bulk and Pyro (GBP) Product Engineering group including Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical engineering focusing on the Stirred Mills (SM) and HPGR Products, globally. This position can be in York (PA), West Perth (AU), High Wycome (GB) or Sorocaba (BR) but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, and includes 25% of travel per year. Team you belong to: You will join a team of Product Engineers dedicated to applying engineering principles and design thinking to enable the product lifecycle and enable the business to provide high performing products within the Services Grinding portfolio. What you'll do: High level of MS Office and software skills Knowledge of typical business transactions and typical PLM methodology. Passionate and engaging individual with focus on improving the operations and business growth. Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills that ensure effective relationship with key stakeholders across the operations and functions. Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, establish deadlines and oversee completion of multiple assignments with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Possesses strong financial acumen, including analytical skills, in addition to possession of intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, decimals and fractions, geometry) for calculations, graphics, etc. Completes multi-step processes which include the calculations of discounts, addition and subtraction of fees, etc. Ability to understand engineering drawings and processes required. Demonstrates strong drive, performance orientation and ability to work under pressure. Demonstrates capabilities to support management processes, including strategy process, talent development and performance management. Who you are: Bachelor's degree in engineering / engineering technology (or equivalent experience) required. Minimum fifteen (12) years engineering experience in an applicable industry Minimum ten (5) years' experience in an engineering management/supervisory position Minimum five (5) years' experience in Product Development or R&D position Experience with SAP software/databases or equivalent required. Experience with CAD software and EDM systems preferred. Experience with PLM concepts, software or methodology preferred.
