The key duties of the position include The Role The position is responsible for the prioritisation of activities directed by Forward Work Plans and synchronising the inputs and accountability of all Army and Defence level committees. The position is accountable for the development, implementation and monitoring of AHQ Secretariat strategies, plans, and risks as well as updating and refining the governance framework as appropriate. Attends to committee activities, inclusive of pre-briefs, performs secretariat functions for Army and supports the AHQ Secretariat in formulating committee strategies. The role coordinates the forward work plan, including the management of schedule, risk, budget and resources. The position will monitor and report on project objectives, governance compliance, identify risks and determine appropriate courses of action to meet stakeholder needs. The position will prepare committee packages and, where necessary, update and provide insights to functional-level command participants. About our Team The Army Headquarters Secretariat supports the attendance of the Chief of Army, Deputy Chief of Army, Head of Land Capability and other members of the Army Headquarters executive teams at various Tier 2 and Tier 3 Defence committees. These include internal Army and external to Army (enterprise) committees. Our Ideal Candidate Working as an individual in a multi-faceted team environment, the incumbent should demonstrate knowledge and experience with managing administration and corporate governance frameworks. A strong business acumen and presentation skills are expected. The candidate should possess substantial experience in managing complex, multi partner relationships and the ability to problem solve, risk manage and apply judgement to new contexts. Proficiency in project planning, strategic insights and oversight are also required.
