This will be in four week slots throughout the year. Details: 0800 – 1600 Monday – Friday at HMAS Stirling, Garden Island. Teaching/tutoring a class of up to 11 people to refresh their maths and science skills. Class will be made up of Navy sailors who come from engineering trade disciplines. They have an existing suite of resources that the person would work with. (structured 4 week plan, online resources from Khan Academy, practice tests, text books etc) The level of tutoring is (advanced) high-school level: Main focus o General maths o Geometry o Trigonometry o Algebra o Calculus Background needed: Experienced maths teacher at year 12 level. – Relevant qualifications in mathematics/sciences. – Certificate IV Training and Assessment or higher teaching qualification.
