They are a small and collaborative bunch of people, and want someone who will join on a long-term basis and can become part of the team. Your new role The Accounts and Admin Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of financial and administrative processes within the organisation. This position involves handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, receipting, resolving issues, investigating discrepancies, managing deliveries, coordinating office activities, and overseeing stock management. Additionally, the Accounts and Admin Officer will be responsible for answering the office phone line and providing administrative support. Key Responsibilities: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections. Reconcile financial transactions and resolve discrepancies. Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Record and reconcile receipts from various sources. Investigate financial discrepancies and take corrective action. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues promptly. Support for the migration from MYOB to Xero. Coordinate deliveries and maintain stock levels. Ensure efficient stock management and inventory control. Assist with office organisation, including maintaining supplies and equipment. Support coordination of events and other administrative tasks. Answer the office phone line and handle general enquiries. Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure seamless financial operations. As part of a small team, contribute to overall office efficiency. What you'll need to succeed You'll have solid experience in general accounting and admin, particularly with transactional finance processes, reconciliations and problem-solving. You will bring excellent attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude to the role, as you will be responsible for varied tasks with high-visibility across the business. You will be able to effectively manage your time, prioritising varied tasks across office management, event coordination, finance and customer-service. Experience with MYOB and/or Xero would be highly desirable. This is a small organisation and team, so you will be on many different streams as a true all-rounder What you'll get in return The salary is $65-70k super, and being a benevolent charitable organisation, there is salary packaging to allow for the reduction in tax paid.
