Senior Project Engineer Georgiou Group has partnered with ACCIONA Construction Australia to deliver the first stage of the Gold Coast's largest road infrastructure project. The project will involve construction of six new bridge structures in an environment with unique geotechnical conditions and challenging interfacing on a gazetted green-field site. What you're good at: You're an engaged, focused and driven leader with high standards of work. Someone with: Strong and demonstrated experience in project engineering and a working knowledge of project management Strong prior project experience in buildings, structures, substantial lifts, FRP and concrete decks. Prior experience on Rail projects highly regarded. Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines Proven experience in project engineering with project management knowledge and understanding with experience in the construction engineering sector Ability to provide active professional direction to supervise management of works contracts, monitor contractor progress and effectively negotiate variations, claims and other issues Ability to anticipate, identify and respond to project risks and issues. Including completing complex risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders' concerns Tertiary Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with relevant years of experience in the construction industry What you'll do (but not limited to): Monitor project progress in terms of quality, timeliness and budgets including regular program review and report to the Project Manager Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions Prepare scope of works, and effectively manage commercial arrangements or sub-contractors Manage consultant, subcontractor & supplier procurement, ensuring comprehensive scope of works are prepared and included in the tender documentation Manage and mentor a team of project, site and graduate engineers Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes Directly influence the safety culture through the promotion of safe work practices to all project personnel to create an exemplary safety culture aligned to the values of 'Safety is My Way' Our best offer: Australian owned and CCF multiple award-winning national business with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and opportunities for career development Competitive salary package and access to Georgiou Perks platform providing discounts to a multitude of retailers Supportive leadership teams who care for and mentor you to achieve your full potential Values-led organisation guided by care, integrity and excellence in everything we do Well-being leave, Paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements available.
