We want to hear from you Working within the Corporate Communications section, the Design team is responsible for the visual presentation of products and services for the Australian Federal Police (AFP). This includes the development of graphic design solutions for corporate materials for both internal and external use. As a graphic designer within the AFP, you will work with a range of members including AFP executive locally, nationally and internationally to produce high quality visual content for a variety of corporate and operational purposes. The team works closely with the Strategic and Marketing Communications teams, as well as operational teams across the AFP, to develop print, digital and display materials for training purposes, recruitment, social media, and internal and external communication campaigns. You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. Responsibilities of the role: Working collaboratively with communications practitioners, internal stakeholders and external suppliers to produce appropriate and technically feasible design solutions Designing and producing creative publications, templates, merchandise, infographics, and other graphics for printed and digital distribution Providing high quality design and advice to the organisation which meet and maintain a consistent AFP brand Contributing to creative strategy and effective communications for the organisation Managing timelines and workflows to meet deadlines, budget restraints and maintain accurate job records Working independently, or as part of a team, to deliver design and typesetting services Coordination of print and merchandise products Providing guidance and advice to key stakeholders on visual design, branding and accessibility (Band 5) Quality assuring outgoing design work (Band 5).
