This is an twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024 John Forrest Secondary College is seeking an outstanding teacher who possesses a deep understanding of curriculum and has the passion and commitment to create a learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. The successful applicant should design and deliver highly differentiated and individualised Mathematics and English programs to classes of selected Year 7 and 8 within a collegial team environment. Each class consists of approximately 20 students who are carefully selected based on data and diagnosis. Family partnerships are established early to maximise student information and engagement in the program. An understanding of quality teaching to progress the learning of students requiring a supportive learning environment and targeted intervention for identified learning needs would be considered an asset. Experience in developing Individual Education Plans and Special Education Needs reporting would be desirable, however, training will be available.
