Your new role: The role of the AI Engineer is responsible for supporting the identification, testing, and implementation of new AI technologies and solutions that will improve operations, accelerate outcomes to business problems, and ultimately enable the Fund to better serve its growing member base. This role will require technical engineering proficiency and a strong growth mindset, as well as the ability to align ideas with the fund's approved technology strategies. Key duties include but are not limited to: Assist in the delivery of high-quality technical solutions as part of the AI Engineering team in realising value from prioritised use cases. Liaise effectively with project team members, business stakeholders and external vendors to build strong partnerships to help create a collaborative, transparent, and high performing culture with a strong delivery mindset. Actively engage with the wider Engineering Practice to assist in uplifting overall capability, create a sense of community, drive continuous improvement. Troubleshooting performance issues and provide solutions for optimisation. Monitoring and debugging potential issues and risks whilst supporting the technical and non-technical user base. Assist team members with code reviewing, change request, peer review and knowledge sharing. Ensure appropriate and relevant governance structures, policies and processes are followed, and advocate for continuous improvement to these. Ensure risk is managed in accordance with the Fund's Risk Management Framework including risk identification and management, risk profiling, risk reporting and incident management. What you'll need: Degree in Computer Science or related area or equivalent industry experience Experience working in complex enterprise Data Environments Proven Engineering experience in Python, Spark, SQL and related languages. 2 years' experience designing and building advanced AI solutions at an enterprise scale. Knowledge of common AI development, automation, and Machine Learning tools Intermediate coding skills in Python, Azure ML Studios, Jupyter, or similar Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders. Developed ability to collaborate and operate in a close team. Excellent problem solving and conceptual/abstract thinking skills, coupled with business acumen.
