About the role The Sales Team Leader plays a crucial role in leading, motivating, and driving the sales team's performance towards achieving targets and meeting the business objectives from time to time. They are responsible for providing guidance, support, and coaching to sales team members, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and sales effectiveness. Driving the selling of parking products & services to existing and new business opportunities will be critical in providing growth to the portfolio and revenue base to propel the business forward and exceed budgeted targets. This position assumes day-to-day responsibility for selling and customer service relating to parking products to consumers and developing and implementing marketing initiatives for the NSW parking market. Description Key Du ties include: Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of sales representatives, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure individual and team success. Set clear performance expectations, goals, and targets for team members and monitor their progress towards achievement. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions to provide feedback, address challenges, and support skill development. Sales Strategy Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies, objectives, and action plans aligned with business goals and market trends. Implement sales initiatives, programs, and campaigns to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats and adjust strategies accordingly. Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for skill enhancement among team members and develop training programs or initiatives to address them. Provide ongoing training, guidance, and resources to equip sales representatives with product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team, encouraging participation in training sessions, workshops, and industry events. Performance Management: Monitor individual and team performance metrics, including sales targets, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores. Analyse sales performance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions or performance improvement plans as necessary. Recognise and reward top performers, motivate underperforming team members, and implement performance incentives or rewards programs to drive motivation and engagement. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. Ensure effective communication and coordination between the sales team and other departments, such as marketing, customer service, and product development, to deliver a seamless customer experience. General Duties: Adhere to and role model the company values & policies at all times Set objectives for the team in line with the yearly PDR process Provide support and guidance to team members, focus on their development and engage them in their roles through effective communication and meaningful work Identify and support training opportunities, both internal and external Advance branch-wide relationships with internal business units and colleagues Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures and legislative requirements Foster a culture of compliance through leadership and setting positive examples for staff Complete any other reasonable directives as given by your manager Profile Skills and requirements: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Solid understanding of sales principles, techniques, and strategies, with a customer-centric approach. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders. Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and sales analysis. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales management tools. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable 5 years of progressive experience in sales, with a proven track record in sales leadership and achieving revenue targets.
