Senior Mechanical Design Engineer An international company that has over 30 years experience of mining experience is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take hold and lead from the front and ensuring design standards are held at a high regard for your customer's needs. The Senior Mechanical Engineers role will be required but not limited to: Provide engineering solutions, to the design and development of new products and problem solving. Perform Mechanical Designs using 3D CAD modelling and FEA applications. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regularly and ensuring a healthy relationship. Lead design review meetings, including preparation of presentation material and provision of meeting agendas and minutes. Develop and maintain project schedules based on project scope of work and key milestones. Review project costs and schedule against contracted deliverables and budgets and provide status reports and forecasting. Develop technical specifications for outsourcing of specialised engineering and manufacturing services. Perfom site inspections and complete condition reports Follow applicable Quality Operating and assurance Procedures. To be successful in this role you will need the following: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering At least 8 years of engineering experience Experience with Mechanical Engineering Designs and standards Experience in 3D Modelling using Autodesk Inventor and Vault Strong Communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external customers written and verbal. Experience in the heavy industry in Australia is a must. Background working with mobile equipment. Like to know more?
