Your new role We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Finance and Customer Service Officer. This role combines financial acumen with exceptional communication skills to provide outstanding service to our community. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Undertake timely and accurate processing of amounts due to and owed by the organisation Efficient processing of payment and receipts Undertake house cashiering duties such as EFTPOS/cash/cheque receipting Process petty cash End of day reconciliation Customer Service Excellence: Be the first point of contact for community inquiries, providing accurate and timely information. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues with empathy and professionalism. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records and databases. Assist with general administrative tasks as required. What you'll need to succeed Essential: Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to assist the public. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable: Previous experience in local government or a similar role. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
