Why this role mattersThe Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services).About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Case Worker to provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery orientated and person led service environment.You will successfullyDemonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality servicesProvide services either face to face, office-based or at an agreed safe location, in group settings, by telephone or digitally as well as with outreachAcquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participantsRespond to new referrals, explain the purpose of the service and undertake assessments to identify risks and jointly determine priority needsWork collaboratively and professionally with other servicesThis is a casual position based at the Townsville Recovery Services Centre in Rowes Bay.
