The role The role responsible for administering and maintaining the monthly payroll, ensuring the function operates in a timely and appropriate manner. Responsibilities: Efficient payroll processing and superannuation payments An understanding of relevant legislation Producing reports on a timely basis Coordination of activities across the payroll function to ensure consistency Ensure payroll function is operating on a timely, efficient basis through planning and scheduling of tasks to ensure external deadlines are met Coordinate process improvements within own area, to ensure duplications are minimized and demands on systems and or resources is reduced Contributing to the sharing of knowledge and information within the payroll team and with internal clients Qualifications: At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Australian payroll Solid understanding of award interpretation Knowledge of basic payroll procedures, organisational structure and organisational policies Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work with conflicting time constraints.
