The successful applicant should possess very sound skills and experience in the area of behaviour management and a sound understanding and skill set of how best to address the needs of challenging students. and experience as a classroom and music teacher. It is highly desirable that the successful applicant has prior knowledge and understanding of whole school approaches such as Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Spelling Mastery and Critical Reading and is committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community. They should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. It would also be highly regarded to have had experience in the teaching of music, particularly choir. Belmay Primary School, located in Cloverdale, caters for 210 children from Kindergarten through to Year 6. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
