Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH886249 This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024 Southern River College is seeking an English Teacher with the experience, dedication and drive to develop a culture of excellence in teaching and learning. As part of a dedicated team, you will be required to develop, review, and deliver English curriculum. You should engage in ongoing self-reflection and assess the effectiveness of practice to create an environment conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering for different student learning needs. As we are a small school, teachers are sometimes required to teach out of their primary learning area. The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning. You will ideally be innovative, knowledgeable, and possess thorough understandings of instructional and curriculum expertise whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Learning Area. You should have high expectations, display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies, and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive and engaging classroom learning environment. You will ideally be able to display an ability to work as a collaborative team member and be committed to the development of strong professional learning communities focussed on student achievement and success.
