A leading construction company, delivering a wide range of services based in Sydney is looking for an Assistant Accountant experienced in Construction The company A leading building and civil construction company, delivering a wide range of services professionally and capably, is looking for an Assistant Accountant with a background in Construction to join their close-knit team environment and are happy to provide support towards further learning, including CPA. The role The role oversees the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The Accountant is to perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Responsibilities: Accounts payable duties (reconciliation of monthly creditors, payment runs) Accounts receivable duties (issuing tax invoices, aged debtors) Bank reconciliation (Daily) Maintain AMEX payments Prepare and lodge monthly BAS’s Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports Maintain the fixed asset register Assist with daily ad hoc duties Qualifications: Degree qualified and/or studying towards CA/CPA Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within a fast paced environment Experience with BAS lodgement process Excel skills (Intermediate to advanced) Details of personality that would be suitable Strong communication skills Previous experience with the month-end Benefits: Assist with any professional education qualifications in reaching CPA or CA status Work with a fantastic close-knit Finance team Ongoing reward and recognition programs Regular company social and community events Free onsite parking A large range of company staff discounts
