Leading construction company, delivering a wide range of services based in Sydney, is looking for an Management Accountant experienced in Construction The company A leading building and civil construction company, delivering a wide range of services professionally and capably, is looking for an Management Accountant with a background in Construction to join their close-knit team environment. The role Working closely with the General Manager, a Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing and owning the financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long-term analytics for the NSW Residential Development portfolio. This role will work closely with the experienced leadership teams, relying on commercial acumen and the ability to influence financial decisions. Responsibilities: Monthly & Annual financial reporting Cashflow forecasting Consolidated management accounts Project reporting Annual QBCC financial reporting & monitoring of financial ratios monthly Annual Income Tax return preparation for the group companies Key user for financial & project management system Management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Asset Purchase Liaise with financiers to obtain asset finance Reporting on financial liabilities Recording of interest on liabilities Bank Covenant reporting Update PPSR Preparation & lodgement of BAS, FBT, other reporting to ATO Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or any other relevant Commerce degree Must have experience within a construction environment Construction Project Management experience i.e., forecasting, own reporting, analysis of overheads, Business Unit Profit Margin Cashflow, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Consolidating Joint Ventures, BAS and Bank Reconciliations 4 years in a Finance or Accounting related role in a small to medium size company advantageous Strong Initiative and proactive nature Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Coins Accounting Software and financial modelling P&L & Balance Sheet management Sound knowledge of costing and management accounting practices.
