The scores required are a minimum level 7 in reading and writing and level 8 in speaking and listening Darling Range Sports College (SC) is seeking a collaborative, dedicated and highly motivated Science teacher to join our Independent Public School. To be successful in this role you will ideally be committed to maximising our students' potential and providing a relevant and engaging learning experience. The successful applicant would be a key member of the Science Learning Area and be part of a collaborative approach to the ongoing reflection and improvement of the Science learning area. The applicant should have sound knowledge of the requirements of the Western Australian Curriculum, and have a keen passion to extend our high achieving students. We are looking for a teacher who can develop good relationships with all students and engage them in highly effective learning. You will ideally incorporate a diverse range of thinking strategies into the learning program. In addition, you would be working in a team environment, engaging in professional learning and liaising with colleagues, parents and external networks. Darling Range SC is located approximately 15 kms east of the city centre in the foothills of Perth. The College is experiencing rapid growth and is seen as a school of choice by the local community and by students from across the state who enrol in our specialist sports programs. A major focus of the College is also the implementation of Explicit Instruction across all learning areas. The successful applicant should demonstrate a willingness to incorporate research based pedagogical practice into their teaching. Knowledge or completion of CMS (Classroom Management Strategies) and IS (Instructional Strategies) professional workshops would also be highly desirable.
