As an Operations Manager within Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ), you will be part of an efficient flexible and responsive team that strives for safer workplaces. Some of your responsibilities will include: Lead a team of Inspectors in a regulatory environment Interpret and apply complex legislation Identify and enforce breaches of legislation Produce and review briefs of evidence Educate a very board range of industry sectors to ensure they are compliant with Work Health and Safety legislation Work autonomously and be part of a high functioning team Be adaptable and lead significant workplace change To be successful in this role you will need: Strong complex writing skills or demonstrated ability to be able to read, interpret, apply and elementise legislation in a regulatory capacity and a demonstrated ability to write investigative reports Prior demonstrated experience in applying workplace health and safety protocols, community enforcement or other such regulatory enforcement would be highly regarded Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, including the ability to deal with and diffuse conflict and liaise with the community around sensitive matters Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and lead others. This role will challenge and develop your ability to engage with stakeholders, lead others, partner and educate the community in safety matters and ensure compliance within a regulatory framework.
