About the role We are looking for support workers who have industry experience, manual handling skills and the following attributes: Clear and effective communication skills An ability to establish a professional relationship with a participant, health practitioners and their families. Attention to detail and accuracy in the record management. Providing general household assistance, emotional support, care, and companionship for aged or disabled people. Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster and the availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required. Assisting clients with their mobility Preparing food for clients Arranging social activities Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning May do shopping and run errands. Provide personal care to persons with disability. Adhere to the service/facility communication, reporting and participant/program progress practices and procedures. Providing general household assistance, emotional support, care and companionship for aged or disabled people.
