Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region Thornlie Senior High School Teacher - Science 00001962 Teacher, $78,397 - $113,568 per annum (SEA GA 2021) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH886933 This is a three (3) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024 with possible extension and/or permanency The successful applicant will be teaching Science in the lower secondary years (7 to 10) in addition to teaching a combination of General and/or Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level courses for Year 11 and 12 students. Ideally, the successfil applicans will have public school experience and secondary qualifications. The role would suit applicants who are highly organised and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Teachers who can create a learning environment that is differentiated, challenging, caring, and creative and that caters for the range of needs so all students may achieve and progress are strongly encouraged to apply. Thornlie Senior High School (SHS) has a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) focus with a strong STEM strategic plan.
