Each year we attend in excess of 275,000 people across the state, treat 350,000 patients at our primary health centres and teach over 330,000 people life-saving first aid skills A job to be proud of: We have an exciting and challenging opportunity available for an Instructional Designer to join our team for a Maternity Leave Cover on an 8 Month Fixed-Term Part-Time basis, working 2 days per week. A key focus of this role will be to analyse, design, develop, moderate and maintain training and assessment resources in consultation with the content experts and industry stakeholders to meet the compliance standards and requirements for the accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET) and non-accredited training products. What you’ll do: Create and design high quality learning material using authoring tools and learning software including as LMS, SCORM, Articulate 360. Produce learner-centric quality materials using new and emerging learning design technologies and methodologies. Ensure learning experience is tailored to the needs of individual learners, making it more engaging and effective. Identify the correct design methodology and model, i.e., complex, rapid, or other emerging models to ensure learning experience is optimized for the specific learning objectives and the needs of the learners. Develop storyboards for the design of learning content to ensure it meets training requirements. Create learning content and associated collateral (Student Guides, Assessment Tools, Facilitator Guides) using adult learning principles. Analyse, Design, develop, validate, review, improve and map learning (training and assessment) Vocational Education and Training resources within set timeframes and to organisational standards Utilise the Training and Assessment Plan as the tool to ensure learning and assessment content is reflective of Unit of Competency Requirements applicable to RTO standards. Ensure Learning materials are delivered aligned to internal and external client requirements. Work with Client Subject matter experts to ensure learning material is designed/created to a high standard to meet business and operational requirements. Ensure products are tested before market and all key stakeholders have the opportunity to input. Actively communicate with internal and external stakeholders on VET and compliance related matters What you’ll need: Strong understanding of adult learning principles and contemporary learning experiences Skills in the development of online learning products Excellent time and task management skills with impeccable attention to detail and planning skills Customer focused to ensure needs are achieved Outcome driven ensuring projects are completed to a high standard Excellent communication skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders Instructional design and storyboarding Use branding guidelines and templates to ensure products meet organisation requirements Ability to design, develop and deliver on projects in a timely manner Proficient in the use of authoring tools and learning software. TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design & Development or equivalent What’s in it for you?
