Working on local Adelaide projects Monday-Saturday roster 10hr Days $55 per hour travel & meal allowances About the Role: WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Construction Safety Officer based within Adelaide for an immediate start. This position will hold a Monday to Saturday roster, 10 hours days for local construction projects, with competitive rates available for the successful applicant. This position would suit an experienced Safety Officer who has knowledge and experience in providing safety support, recommendations, training and inspections in a well organised and timely manner. Key Responsibilities will include: Maintain safe and efficient construction sites for the life of the project. Attend all construction sites weekly and check all HSW documentation is completed and compliant. Assist with site inductions, signing in of all attendees, toolbox meetings, provide training on SiteBook for sub-contractors and their workers if unsure on what they need to do to be compliant. Ensure all sub-contractors have completed, uploaded and have their workers sign off on the SWMS. Check SWMS are site specific and workers are carrying out their tasks / duties in accordance with their SWMS, SOP's and MSDS. Prepare site HSE requirements. Ensure hazardous materials / chemicals are recorded on register and correct fire extinguishing equipment is available on site. Investigate any incidents and accidents and conduct training and toolbox meetings to site personnel to ensure correct steps are taken and followed to not have a re-occurrence. Assisting with site works when required Skills & Experience Required: Experience in the construction industry / background Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety Construction Industry Induction White Card Current First Aid Certificate Current South Australian Driver's Licence Knowledge and experience in the use of SiteBook advantageous Knowledge of Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations Strong communication skills attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the role Must be either an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or hold full Working Rights within Australia About WorkPac The WorkPac Group is Australia's largest privately owned workforce services business with over 1.3 million registered candidates.
