We are seeking dynamic, committed and passionate primary school educators to join our hard-working and dedicated team at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, Primary School. The successful applicants will be able to work across K-6, articulate a personal vision for learning in the primary school and demonstrate their willingness to continually improve their practice through participation in ongoing Professional Learning. Essential Criteria: Hold Religious Education qualifications according to the SACS Board Policy and be willing to support Sacramental programs; A sound knowledge and a commitment to the Church&39;s mission in Catholic Education and personal faith practice; A passion for education and a desire to learn; A commitment to excellence as a classroom teacher and the capacity to empower students to be independent and creative learners; Strong communication skills and a commitment to working collaboratively in a team; Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff; A willingness to evaluate and seek feedback to continually improve classroom practice; A sound knowledge and understanding of K-6 Curriculum; Willingness to undertake professional learning to differentiate learning for diverse student needs, inclusive of Special Needs, Gifted and EAL/D learners in the mainstream classroom; The ability to integrate ICT effectively and creatively to provide authentic learning opportunities within a contemporary learning environment You will have attained; Bachelor of Education (Primary) [for conditionally qualified Teachers, you will need to provide evidence in the form of transcripts from your teaching degree] Active accreditation with NSW Standards Authority (NESA) Qualifications in Religious Education or Theology Per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead in Sydney Catholic Schools, or the commitment to undertake this qualification An SCS Employee ID Number, by completing the Registration To Teach process , or a commitment to complete the registration process.
