About the Role: Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Building staff capabilities with the implementation of quality curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in line with best practice in the Australian Curriculum and relevant Technology syllabuses. Improving and enhancing teaching practise for all staff through the development, revision and communication of the school pedagogy toolbox and demonstrated ability as a leader of differentiation across a whole school context. In this role you will have demonstrated experience in providing coaching, guidance and modelling of quality teaching and learning. Coaching and mentoring beginning and pre service teachers with a focus on how to effectively design and implement content using the Burnside SHS pedagogical toolbox. Set high standards for student and staff performance in the Home Economics and Early Childhood faculty. Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department. Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the curriculum areas or whole school program to achieve the strategic direction of the school.
