We are looking for a Graphic designer to join our team on a full-time basis and also a 6-month secondment in our Melbourne office. This position is hybrid-remote, 3 work-from-home days per fortnight. You will need to be proactive – not just in creating artwork, but in problem solving to improve designs across our brands, marketing collateral, and design processes/procedures. What will your job duties involve? From creating print and digital collateral for event campaigns, to in-venue collateral, seasonal activations, menu’s, motion graphics and much more, no two days are the same Work closely with a Marketing Manager and Digital Co-ordinator on all aspects of campaigns Take artwork through from brief to conceptualization to final files Use available data and demographics to make informed design decisions Maintaining brand integrity and innovating existing brands Create new brands based on analytical research Help manage and upkeep all design assets Support the wider Digital, Design and Marketing teams with time-critical tasks as they arise Play an active role in helping to facilitate skill-sharing and training within the Design team Report, analyse and improve across design outputs with an eye on building brand equity What skills and experience are we looking for? Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (AfterEffects preferred, but not essential) Print-ready collateral including posters, menus, flyers and more Digital & social media assets with an emphasis on animation/video Understanding of EDM design Understanding of branding and style guides Great attention to detail You will be sharp, willing to learn and passionate Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Quick turnaround of design material Passion for the hospitality industry, work experience a bonus Why work for Australian Venue Co?
