Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network, Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Services, Whyalla Salary: $102,641 - $110,094 p.a - Temporary Full Time (up to 12 July 2024) - AHP3 The Clinical Senior Social Worker The Clinical Senior Social Worker (SW) is an experienced and highly competent clinician who applies expertise in the delivery of Social Work services within a multidisciplinary context within the Local Health Network (LHN) Mental Health (MH) service. The Clinical Senior SW contributes to the improvement of quality, safe, community driven Mental Health Services and provides clinical Social Work and consultancy services that support the recovery of mental health consumers from rural and remote areas of South Australia. As a clinical leader, mentor and supervisor, the Clinical Senior SW provides clinical support and profession-specific supervision to Mental Health (MH) Social Work professionals / students and plays a leadership role in upholding clinical Social Work professional standards and practices within the LHN MH. The CS SW holds a portfolio on behalf of the Social Work profession to develop, encourage and promote increased expertise and service improvements in the discipline objectives. As part of the regional clinical leadership the Clinical Senior SW represents local teams, regions and the LHN MH service on relevant committees and work groups and may be required to contribute to or manage relevant projects. The role has designated 70% to local clinical and leadership duties and 30% for Social Work leadership, portfolio and supervision matters. Must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). As a self-regulated profession, it is desirable to participate in the AASW Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accreditation program. Must have post graduate qualifications in social work, psychotherapy, mental health, public sector management would be desirable. The Saltbush Community Mental Health Rehabilitation is an initiative of the South Australian Government. It is part of the South Australian Government’s strategy to reform mental health services and to provide a stepped model of care to regional South Australians at a location closer to home. The service supports people who may have been living independently in the community but require a more supported environment to enhance their living skills, or those who may have completed their stay in hospital and are ready for community-based treatment and rehabilitation. The service is available to all residents living in regional South Australia, not just those from Whyalla.
